Speaker's Bio

Jean Nakhoul is a Lebanese media personality, who started working in the television field since 2009.
He attended the Champville Maristes School and graduated from Notre Dame University (NDU) in Zouk Mosbeh, with a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. He then resumed his studies in media management in France. He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration at the American University of Beirut (AUB).
Mr. Nakhoul started his professional journey as a News Editor at MTV Lebanon. He later got
promoted to handle the International Affairs department during the Arab Spring and quickly became the News Executive Producer. He also possesses a strong reporting experience, as he covered the French elections in 2017 and 2022, the Papal elections in 2013 , the Revolution of October 2019, and was the first reporter worldwide to reveal the escape of Carlos Ghosn; for which he was interviewed in several French and international documentaries regarding this subject, such as TF1, France 2 and Apple TV.
M. Nakhoul has also been involved in the content production and execution of many political and cultural TV programs throughout his career and spearheaded the production of special episodes. He currently is the Executive Producer of the most watched political talk show in Lebanon and the region, Sar El Waet, hosted by the renowned journalist, Marcel Ghanem.
In addition, M. Nakhoul was designated as the elections expert at MTV Lebanon and secured his place in Sar El Waet on a weekly basis explaining and analyzing the pre and post elections process and polls. He also produced and hosted an electoral political talk, Bernemjak (Your Program), where candidates presented their electoral program to convince the viewers to vote for them. The result of these efforts was the production and the realization of a book analyzing and showcasing the results of the 2022 parliament elections called الديمقراطية المؤجلة (the Postponed Democracy).
To mark the occasion of Lebanon’s 100th Anniversary, M. Nakhoul prepared a special TV show dedicated to this historical event, called Saro Miyye. This show is a cultural miniseries in the form of a documentary which combines history and entertainment, whose main purpose is to retrace Lebanon’s history on different levels and in different fields. This program is one of the most watched shows in the country, is critically acclaimed and benefits from a wide audience. This is why Jean Nakhoul will be awarded with a Murex d’Or in its 2022 edition.
Furthermore, Jean Nakhoul has produced several TV shows for Arab countries, notably for the Qatari channel beIN Sports, Abu Dhabi TV and Dubai TV. He also produced episodes and mini-documentaries for Expo 2020 held in Dubai.
On an academic level, Jean Nakhoul has started his new academic experience teaching Media and Communications course at Saint Joseph University in Beirut.
Aside from his TV work, M. Nakhoul is well-versed in the world of music and entertainment. He is, for instance, the Executive producer of Lebanese singer Elissa since 2017 and plays a big part in the curation of music festivals both locally and regionally.
